BRANDING PROCESS

1. THE CONSULT

This is like a first date (but hopefully not as awkward). Its a good chance for us to get to know each other to see if we are a good fit. I’ll be asking you questions about your business to get a better understanding of what your vision and goals are. The more I understand the ethos of your company/product the better I can visually represent it. Similarly you get to ask me all the questions you like.

If you are Auckland Based we can do this over coffee or if you like many of my clients are overseas we can set up a Skype session.

2. THE QUOTE

If we decide we can make some sweet design magic together I will create a full quote based on our project and send it your way. If everything prepared is approved by you, just sign, scan, and send the proposal back to me and keep a copy for yourself. Once our agreement is signed you can lock in the project to my schedule by paying the first milestone payment (via internet banking). On larger projects the 50% upfront deposit can be changed for a payment plan based on key deliverables (I’m flexible like that). *please note this deposit is nonrefundable

3. HOMEWORK

Due to my schedule you usually have a bit of time before your project’s start date. This is when I give you a little homework to gear up for our upcoming project. I will get you to fill out my branding questionnaire. This questionnaire will provide invaluable information for me to keep in mind when designing your brand. Where appropriate I may ask you to Pinterest board for me, full of branding inspiration (colours, patterns, outfits, interiors, etc.)  The more information you give me about your vision the more targeted my design focus can be.

4. INSPIRATION

This is where we start to create! After gleaning all the information I need from our initial meeting and studying your branding questionnaire I will put together your inspiration board. This will be a compilation of images and colours that will set the overall tone of your new brand. This inspiration board gives you the chance to see if I am heading in the right direction. Once approved you will receive your first logo variations to review. You can request up to 2 rounds of revisions to make sure you love it. Once the logo is finalised I will pull together the full branding board so you can see the entire design come together with all of the complete elements; secondary logo, sub marks, patterns and fonts.

5. BRAND COMPLETION

Once the branding board is completed and approved by you I start prepping the final files for you. At this point I now take your new brand and continue it throughout your print and social page design (business card, business letterhead/notecard and envelopes, stamp or stickers, Facebook and Twitter page designs) to complete your new look. I will send you over the final invoice for the branding design, and once completed I will send over a convenient dropbox link of all of your zipped up logo and print files.
